Yup, it seems I am a victim of that here. I have got my scanner hooked up to a UHF CB antenna on a mag base sitting on my balcony, and I can pick up 164.000 but it sounds very drowned out by something else on the same freq.
Any ideas gav on what is the best for me to listen to?
I am thinking maybe giving the Claremont mid range a go again but I've gotta look up the frequency again...

I'm not that far from Red Hill. 57 is working fine for all stations TX and RX. Just the WAERN freq (163.250) that's quiet.

No onion, no garlic, no chilli, no pepper... NO POINT!!
So I've just had the fun of keying all of the new frequencies into a spreadsheet to load into my scanner for my Christmas trip this year, I notice there's no CTCSS info on the PDF, anyone have this info? It's usually assigned to groups of channels so should be easy to list if anyone has the info
That's a negative Wes. Programming them into your scanner or rx-only transceiver means less interference because only a transmission carrying the CTCSS tone will open your squelch. Works wonders for the fireground channels here in the city! Otherwise I get all sorts of crap coming through.
Hey guys, for those that are interested
