Zig Zag Fire MkII

4 young boys seen running away from fire on Zig Zag by resident.

Rumour:- someone was arrested for starting Saturdays Zig Zag fire. Apparnetly he was impersonating a BFS firey, said he was from Darlington - Darlington not here - No I mean Glen Forrest - They're not here, Come with me lad!

Zig Zag Fire MkII

Just got back fom another Zig Zag fire. 2 fronts - called out around 8:45ish. Kalamunda VF&RS, Kalamunda VBFS 1.4, 2.4, 3.4, LT 4 & 6, Gosnells 2.4, 7.2, & LT?, Guildford pump and LT, Welshpool 2nd? and probably more. DM Miller - Incident Controller. Perm crews are doing Firewatch. Too t...

Just got back from patrolling the incident, we left with Kalamunda LT6 and their 1.4, which left Perth Second patrolling until dawnish. Hungry Jacks for dinner!

Sam, FESA has a drills and skills handbook (has a new name now though) that may be helpful.. primarily hose drills, but is something different you can perhaps try? We've done alot of work on hose drills, flaking etc.. stuff we dont use much on a fireground, but don't want to get caught out not know...

Haven't heard the Helitacs in an hour or so - very little smoke - looks like a 7.2 and 3.4? taking their ease at the first lookout.

They're a great vehicle for the majoity of calls but in an incident like the current Zig Zag fire the FWD capabilty of the 3.4, 2.4 etc really make a difference.

That fire was on the North side of the ZZ - this one appears to be the South side near the first lookout and closer in to houses.
