Re: WA Police scanner

Not possible I'm afraid. that's what I thought unfortunately. Thanks for the confirmation. I can see why they have gone encrypted though. Makes a lot of sense when ya think of it from their perspective. Anyway I have enough to listen to with full fireie network and also I'm a monitor on the Perth c...

Re:

PER05 is infact the emergency repeater, But in the event of an emergency it's not where i'd be going to put out a ditress call, the people that do occupy ch5 are more than likley going to tell you to "F**K OFF!" then get you then help you will need, id be heading to another repeater eg. P...

WA Police scanner

Gday all, just wondering if it is possible to listen into WA police comms esp in Perth and surrounds including Lower Chittering. I have been told it is no longer possible to, however I just wanted to check for sure as I would be interested to listen in to them, not to talk but just to listen out of ...

Re: Icom IC-R6 antenna for DFES

Hi all, not sure if anyone still uses this forum however looking for some scanner related advice and I remember there were some super knowledgeable members here. I have recently purchased an Icom IC-R6 handheld primarily with the intention of listening in to DFES (this is where someone will probabl...

Re: Operating CB Repeaters

Just confirmed that Gidgegannup channel 5 emergency repeater is currently operational. It has a very short tail, and no more code ident. It's often used by the firies for backup comms.

Re: Keep UHF CB repeater inputs clear

There is currently a heap of interference to PER04. If anyone could please listen to channel 34 and see if you can hear any workers, please do so. Don’t worry about the usual truckies as they use channel 4 for long distance chat, just listen for any workers. If you get simplex range to the workers (...

UHF CB ch70 simplex repeater?

Gday all, Tails after transmission on UHF CB channel 70 this arvo around 6:20pm. Didn't hear any ident, just the tails. Saw a thread here about something similar being heard on ch18, but that system isn't active anymore. It's around 8pm now and not getting tails anymore. Wondering if any of you know...

Keep UHF CB repeater inputs clear

Hi all, as most of you have probably already seen, I've made a thread for anyone interested in monitoring PER05 and keeping it clear, so I figured it is fitting to also do the same for the other inputs. This thread is for anyone who is interested in helping to keep channels 31 - 38 and 71 - 78 clear...

PER05 monitoring and misuse information

Hi, I have created this thread for anyone interested in monitoring and/or helping combat misuse of PER05. PER05 is the Perth channel 5 emergency repeater, and even in the city, the occasional full-blown emergency call does come through. This thread is for anything regarding PER05 including informati...

Re: Operating CB Repeaters

Sorry I'm late so not sure if I'm supposed to post on this post. But I may add that COL01 in Collie is up and apparently extremely strong. I'm looking forward to testing it hopefully around Christmas time when I can get there.
