Guys just a general info/e-mail to all staff at Curtin, and thought I'd share with you guys....

All staff and students are reminded to be conscious of their personal safety and security as a robbery occurred on the Bentley Campus last night. Assistance and support has been provided to the student involved, and the incident has been reported to the Police.

While the University aims to provide a safe learning and working environment, from time to time a member of the Curtin community may become the victim of crime. If this happens to you, please report it to Police and/or Curtin Security immediately. This will enable the University to support you, and ensure the search for a suspect gets underway quickly. Also, delays in reporting may allow other crimes to be committed because the offender believes he or she can get away without Police involvement.

Curtin Security Officers regularly patrol the campus to provide and maintain security. In addition Curtin Security liaises with the local Western Australian Police Service which patrols this area from the Kensington and Cannington Police Stations.

It is strongly recommend that at night students and staff use the free Campus Courtesy Bus. The Campus Courtesy Bus travels to major car parks and all on-campus student residences.
