stabbing at the Base nightclub in perth POI being followed by city support cameras.POI sighted at james and lake st cars off there now.injuries not life threating.

I used to work Base.
The local coppers used to joke about putting a neon sign in the window... "Days since last stabbing:" and a flashing number next to it.
I wish they would shut the shithole down... it causes more trouble then it's worth, for the Police, employees and the decent patrons.

no didn't hear any more on this.like hitman says they probaly told them to take a ticket and join the quene.

I only found out about 1 hour ago.. the person stabbed was actually a doorman at Base... a maori fella called Harry who is actually a close friend of mine (although we havent spoken in a while, hence me not knowing about this)
It wasn't anything major... he refused 1x Aboriginal male entry and the result was him being stabbed. Harry stayed in at hospital overnight but this was more for compensation reasons.
They didn't catch the guy and I don't think anyone has bothered, the Police have probably tried to track him down but he could be anywhere. Harry certainly isn't worried about it.

trouble again at base night club over night wanted POI beleived to be the wanted POI in relation to the assult last week were it left a bloke in hospital on life support.Another assult last night ambulance was called to this one don't know how serious the injuries are.POI still on the loose.

I have just walked out of work for lunch and there are several camera crews setup around the rear of Curtin House. Had a quick chat to one of the guys from Channel Nine and he said they are bringing the 'alleged offender out shortly who was involved in an incident out the front of Base' - one can only assume this is the POI?

If it is the POI, I hope they can get a conviction for what was a very callous and unprovoked attack.

Try 2 attacks guys, this trolobite did the same thing twice and only days apart...
I heard he was wanted for another attack only days after the first one in which the young victim is in hospital for in an induced coma...
What a p***k.

Every wednesday night / early thursday morning there seems to be trouble there... it's such a dump.

I do not consider myself racist, but they call Wednesday night at the Base "negro night"
When I worked there we would all be trying to get out of Wednesday night shifts because of the workload. The final straw came when I was head butted by a young African guy, and jumped on by his mate who commenced kicking me in the head for refusing entry for intoxication. Eventually I got up, gave him a hiding, and his mate got restrained by another doorman and the Police let them both walk, even with video footage showing them the entire incident.
The club is owned by Simon Barwood, the supposed talented DJ. It's bizarre that Rise and Base are 'the same' - upstairs is tame with lots of pill popping, downstairs is brutal with lots of violence.
I would like to see someone force Simon to shut the club down. The shooting at Metro City last year was a result of one of our doorman getting stabbed by a certain street gang. The continual stabbings and brawls is rediculous. Police resources could definately be used better elsewhere.
