speeding fines

i've been hearing a bit lately about and increase in the cost of speeding fines... when did it happen, how much have they gone to???can anyone spread a bit of light on this??? Links or anything???
And just to open a can of worms, is it seen as revenue raising???

the new fines won't come into efect until jan next year.There under review at the moment.And yes it is revenue rising.

cant believe how many people are whinging about this lol. its all over the papers and shit. no sympathy for people who get busted for speeding hey none at all.

Dont speed and you dont have to worry about it, I think they should double the fines.
NSW and VIC make WA look like a charity.

Couldn't agree more.
In NSW they have giant signs that tell you that there's a fixed speed camera up ahead, and people STILL get done by em!
