Om called urgent pursuit later this afternoon , on the Armadale channel, the pursuit never really got started, but the man was wanted in connection with the stealing of $80,000.00 worht of wire from the Armadale to Mandurah railway, The inspector wanted to know why this chase was so urgent and OM gave a full run down of this guy, whilst screaming for urgent backup, but the inspector wouldnt allow the pursuit because the driver was didnt have a driving class. not heard that before, i dont think they ended up getting him, did anyone else hear this?

Yeah i heard that one...he was priority two driver in a class three vehicle and as such the inspector aborted him immediatly. Heard the same thing on the Freo channel not long after that when a VK car tried to apprehend a dirt bike rider. I really cant understand why all police dont come from the academy with pursuit driver qualifications, seems to me like the force would catch a whole lot more baddies if they just stepped up the training.....or kept the Sup`s outta the radio room

They guy calling it was trying to ham it up a bit thou i thought, with his comments "he's put everyones lives in danger on the railways line, i really didnt think that was needed lol, and when he damanded to know what the channel for armadale, and he was shouting at vki " VKI WHAT IS THE ARMADALE CHANNEL I NEED TO KNOW NOW...." and VKI is like ummmm your on it, hahaha that guy would have felt stupid.

This guy they were chasing was mentioned on the news tonight, they did a appeal for info on him allegedly he was stealing copper from the railway sensors making the boom gates malfunction.
