Vehicle Class

hey does anyone know the actual difference between a class 3 vehicle and a class 1 vehicle?
class 1 vehicle has full police livery with lights and all the rest while a class 3 has maybe a beacon (put on roof one) and maybe just police on the side in small written ie VF502. im sure the others will correct me if im wrong with class 3 but class 1 is the most distinguishable out of all the other classes because it is a general police vehicle-attends domestics, fights, break ins etc.
A forensic car might be classified at class 3 ? Dunno
