Hey all, took my camera into work last night and took some happy snaps
EK 777-300
CX A330-300
Inside the Baggage make up area, bags travel around the belts above your head, through various X-ray machines, before coming down to us, where we load them into the containers
The Scissor lift for loading containers into the aircraft
The controls on the scissor lift, and a container being, loaded into the rear Cargo hold
The boys servicing the toilet system on VH-VQD JQ's 2nd newest Aircraft, being delivered in April/May this year
The scissor lift from the ground

It happens too...Just last week I saw the dump hose coupling fail during the unload of a Virgin jet...the poor rampy fella got doused in it from the shoulders down. He then had the pleasure of picking up the "solids" with a shovel and bucket.....mmmm delicious.

Couple of questions regarding the pushbacks:
Is the steering on the aircraft unlocked and therefore totally under your control like reversing a trailer?
And when you are shifting the aircraft's position is there a pilot onboard to hit the brakes just in case?
EDIT: Oh and keep the speed up

Yes we place a steering bypass pin in every time the tow bar is connected, these air craft have some HYD power, the last thing we want is the pilot bumping the pedals and having a big metal bar swing around to wack you in the shins
Next time you go flying try get a window seat, youll see the guy on the head set walk away and wave a orange/red streamer in the air facing the flight deck, that streamer is attached to the pin which locks the steering.
The engineers ride the brakes on tows
Thats not our tug it is borrowed from Menzies, it has a temperamental accelerator, even when holding your foot still it moves Revs

Cool pics Kirk...it`s different seeing the ute from that angle. Just curious are you the young bloke I took across the runways at night a few weeks ago in the Prado?
