Morning,

Suddenly dawned on me that another forum I regular post on has a 'photo comp' then I though well why not us? Its a great too see what others think and to bring the board into a more 'fun' place

Each person can submit a maximum of 2photos each for FESA, WAPOL & SJA

What do you think? Let me know your thoughts / idea's and I'll see if I can get the mods / admin permission.

Unfortunately no prices will be offered

Sounds like an excellent idea - are you offering to "run" it, WF?

I guess we'll need some basic rules - i.e. photos must be your own, shouldn't be photoshopped other than perhaps watermarking or something like that, and we need a closing date and some people to volunteer to judge them

Yeah that'd work! How about a thread for people to submit their entries - maybe one entry per category on the site (Fire, Ambo, Police, Aviation, etc), then those entries get moved into "Vote now!" threads with a poll ...

Sure, I'm going to be annoying to the mods though to get what I want

Ok as one of the mods...
I'll create 3 Stickies, Wapol, Fire, ambo, say 3 entries per person per agency. So a total of 9 photo's per person.
All the Mods and Admins can then collectively choose the best entry from each agency per person. So the best of your Police photo's for example will go into the final which will be set as a Polled thread which everyone can then vote on.
WF If you have/had something else in mind by all means message it to me.

Dont know why only a couple of members were given the opportunity to give input on the photo comp thread?

Now I have to start a new topic to ask a question. Sure I could pm someone but then other people wont know.

Do pictures of crashes qualify? If so under what category? Or is this comp for vehicles/appliances only in the 5 categories?

Ok fair question Turbo. I think the photo's should include something to do with the emergency service i.e if you have a fire fighter cutting a car open or something that could fall into the FESA category or maybe it has an ambulance to the side that looks good. If there's no specific link to tie it in with one of the categories then it makes it a bit hard.

I suggest also if you do have a multi agency photo then ensure you specify which category you want it to be in.

I think the photos should be anything that would be classified as on topic for WARSUG.

Yes, all except me as I'm seeing who's actually sent the photo.
Stupid 2 cent coins for existing Ok robbage if you want photo's of your shack or something to do with amateur radio then that can be included too. I admit I did think about it. (Assuming you were thinking of Amateur radio). But I don't think we should have too many topics.

Mods can enter the competetion aswell, but that means both Tyranus and myself will be entering...

However without making it a huge deal at the moment lets stick with four different category's

- FESA
- WAPOL
- SJA
- PTA
- Aviation

That's what tyranus and myself agreed

Bear with us guys, if its a success then we will run with it again with more options!

P.S - Do international pictures okay? as long as it fits into the five categorys?
