Merredin fire

Fire broke out in a nature reserve today. Merredin VFRS's light tanker and light pumper, Collgar BFS's light tanker, Nukarni-Nokanning BFS's 3.4 and two fire-fighting trailers from Merredin locals worked to control the fire. Merredin Shire provided a dozer to cut fire breaks. Activity was on FESA channel 99 and UHF CB channel 5. Apparently local police turned out due to the suspicious nature of the fire.
