Without putting the blame on anyone here, but 16 years old is to young to be flying a plane as a student or individual. They should make the minimum age about 21.
I'd hate to see the mess when two hand gliders collide...

I agree with MK's view, it use to be 20 when i went for my PPL back in 60-70's

Also - the heavier plane should have given right of way to the lighter aircraft - If it was me in that situation - I'd "Go Around"

Did the heavier plane know the lighter plane was there?? could have been a case of flying in the blind spot.
