Attempting to get to work this morning, the Police have Vine Street in North Perth blocked.

MIG XR6T at one end... any idea what's going on? Can see a small group of coppers in the middle of the street.

GC101, GC103, GC104, and CD50x were in attendance when I went past on my way to work:

Photo of GC101:

Asked to take a photo of CD50x (Black XR6T) that was also on the scene, but was stopped by one of the officers from GC103.

Two shots of the scene on my way past, later in the day (note the presence of the White Toyota Landcruiser there, possibly Forensics?):

Thanks to my colleague, who took the photos as I drove past :)

That's really sad though  despite the circumstances. Condolences to the family.

Totally agree. Very sad - alot of the elderly in this area are really nice people... very friendly and social.

At this stage there is what appears to be a different forensics vehicle with what looks to be a tent next to it. I am thinking that the Police are treating it as suspiscious which is even sadder.

Tasteless? What I find tasteless is the extensive media coverage on Corryn Rayney purely based on her 'role in society' and no coverage on this poor elderly fella.

I particularly like your comments in http://warsug.info/phpbb/viewtopic.php?p=30445#30445 - yes, you are right, someone has been murdered, but it is my understanding that people appreciate the pics of _any_ emergency or media vehicle around town. There is nothing in any of these photos that is tasteless and had something not been said about the particular location they were taken you would probably be happy for them to stay (let's just pretend they were taken somewhere else?)

I am beginning to see why alot of original posters and contributors back in the day from this forum can't even be bothered typing the site address in their address bars. Clearly Hitler is still alive. The other solution to your problem, of course, is hitting the little X at the top right of your browser window.

Sure! Why don't we all follow your example, and start editing all our posts to consist only of ".."?

A fine sight this forum would be if we were to do so.

I don't see how this is tasteless. There are no photos of bodies, no blood, nothing that could otherwise be termed as 'grisly' in any of the photos. Someone is deceased, which is an extremely tragic event, however these photos do not depict that, rather they depict the police going about their jobs.

Yes - someone has died, a fact which is very sad... however, it's not the subject of the photo.

A large number of the photos on this forum were taken of cars attending MVAs, Murder and Crime scenes. No one has complained, and I can't see a reason why someone would if (as previously stated) the photos are simply of Police or Emergency Services personnel going about their business.

If you find these photos tasteless, then I can't imagine what you think of shots on the TV or in the Papers that depict actual bodies being removed from crime scenes.

-B.

Lets blame the ice epidemic <even though "epidemic" is the wrong word to use>

Just seems in the last week every day a report of a serious assault is reported against the elderly.

Agreed - Media blame everything on "ice" (not that people call it ice except the media and politicians - out of touch). Granny bashed - blame ice. Man hit with star picket - blame ice. Oddly enough, a footballer who basically admits that he was an addict shows no violent tendancies (on or off field) which kinda blows away that blanket theory.. Bloody media - If I didn't work in it I'd hate them even more!

Totally missing the point of the post. I was criticising the fact you were having a cry at some photos of police vehicles, not the stories themselves.
