Stolen Radios

the other night i heard a guy with a stolen radio on channel 50 pretending to be NW109 and NW010 usualy i wouldent care because they have there fun and leave but this time VKI put a call out for a P2 job for a welfair check on a self harm vic. and this dickhead answerd as NW109 , vki then sent it through 109's tardis and they never responded , they were in th office doind paper work , i dont know why the tardis was available if they were in the office (doesnt it show status?) and the error was only noticed an hour later when the real NW109 was out and about and noticed the job on there screen , there is always people on N' channel Z' channel and V' that i know of and they all have stolen radios or radios that have been programmed to WApols channels , is there ANY way of tracking this people down in time , i know the ACMA can do it but that takes time and sadly this is one of the reasons wapol is going to a secure network

Its a regular occurance with this guy not so much a stolen radio but he managed to change his radio to transmit on the police frequency they wont have this problem anymore when they go digital, he has also down stupid things like call officer down, called in as other call signs.
Im sure they can trace him if they wanted to.

There is. But it's mighty difficult if the transmissions are short and/or the transmitter is moving.
If only to keep out these sorts of losers then I'm all for the police going to digital!

Channel 50 is currently locked out by the radio operator due to the stolen radio, you will only hear northside action on 48
