Looks to me like a 'Squirrel' by French manufacturer Aerospatiale. Same as the Channel 7 chopper?

Callsign for this aircraft is usually Air Intel 1.

écureuil is actually the french word for 'Squirrel', so you are correct auntys_eyes.

This chopper, the Helitac's and the 7 News chopper are all Squirrels, however, different models.

(7 news is a BA, Air Intel 1 is a B2 and Helitac's are B3s)

G - it would appear that Aerospatiale and Eurocopter may be the same thing. The link below shows the 7 chopper as also being an AS-350B Ecureuil, but listed as Aerospatiale.

The colloquial term for them is Squirrel

*EDIT* Just found this on Wikipedia;

Yep they were using the rugby oval all day as a landing spot, as was channel 7 however didnt have camera when they landed.

Jared,
I was filling up at the servo when they came in to land. The pilot went over for a leak so asked if he would mind. He was going to let me take some from inside however the dark clouds in photo 3 opened and was belting down so put an end to that.
