Nice shots!
I was surprised to learn it not too difficult to get a police escort. On the last MAD ride (Making A Difference) I went on they even changed the sign on the Farmer Freeway to read "right lane - motorbikes only" or something similar.

The LED light bar on the TE vehicle looks great shame its not a code 3

do they charge you for a police escort ? reason i ask is that wouldnt it incurr overtime etc or pull resources from other areas to cover it.

TE204 is now an XR6T was replaced a couple of months back.
That LED lightbar was originally on TE203 when it was a VZ Exec then it went onto TE204-SV6 and now it's on the new 204.
I still prefer the lightbar on TE210.
Here's a pic of it taken last year with the original plates.
A shot taken at the 2005 Academy open day with TE203.

See on that last pic, the red lens is on the wrong side. Police vehicles usually have red over the drivers side, whereas fire, ambulance have it the other way around.
Those 2 light bars are also different. See in the first, the text display sits at the back of the light bar, not above it.

And it was chaos trying to cross from the on-ramp on the left to our allocated right-hand lane. Good day!

Sorry my bad, I did mean fire the other way around not ambulance. Never really known why this always appears to be the case though, mind you.. theres nothing in the law or vehicle standards.
