amazing photos!

one thing i noticed, whats with the Perth trucks being plugged into the mains electricity? do they actually have to charge the batteries that way (and if thats the case, probably a silly question but do all fire vehicles have to do that??)

They run off a vehicle charger. All fire appliances generally have a charging point these days (all new builds certainly have them).

Don't want to be getting into a truck and finding a flat battery, do you? :)

With the 9.2, be interesting to know what the rear area is for.. possibly a collar tank setup?

Correct me if i am wrong but these old appliances are housed at the shed to the R.H.S , as you enter the forrestfield training academy

Your right on the money there fastlane. It is a hydraulic platform for the colar tank.

Great pictures I would like a closer look of that 9.2.

Competetion:

Who can drive the 9.2 under fire call conditions with the collar tank filled, and spill the least water. Route is from Wanneroo BFB to Darlington BFB! Race starts at 1400 hrs on a Friday

It'd handle like a pig! Certainly not built for speed!
