WA Radio Scanner Users' Group

Ever since a couple weeks ago when I heard them switching over to some new equipment, they sound like they are transmitting on a portable... in a toilet... is it just me?

Its firstly hard to tell between VKI and a car, and the reception is shocking in a lot of areas for me (CH48/50, 21/41). I even hear VKI struggling to hear cars a lot more.

Any reason for all that or just me? (using the same little handheld old scanner...)

On a side note - Anyone else on iiNet, I can't get anything outside of WAIX.

I heard the same when I was in Perth last... seemed to be on 48/50 - didn't notice it anywhere else at the time.
