Can anyone please tell me why there is a tunnel for the train on the kwinana free way north bound just before Roe Hwy, yet the train tracks dont go through it???

It may sound stupid but id like to know the purpose of the tunnel.

The libs built it as the northbound train was going to join the exsisting railway and go to perth via thornlie station.

Labour over-rode that decision slapping it straight down the guts so to speak. Therefore we may see a thornlie divert train I guess.
