Police Boat - cottesloe beach

Anyone know what's going on, got a police boat going up and down cottesloe beach now looks like they are searching for someone / something??? Flat batteries in my scanner.
I'm standing out the front of work watching them at the moment...(I hate rain) If I see anything, I'll post...

there is a second boat out now, searching between what looks like swanbourne and the cott groin...

Just had a chat with a couple of cops, they are apparently looking for a 22 year old male maori, dark skin, with tats, apparently threatend to go for a swim at around 2 am at cottesloe beach, last seen "apparently" in his underwear... FYI, Surf conditions are shocking on the beach, you'd have to be nuts to go for a swim in it...

I first saw them at around 0230, guess they must have had another job com in after that... they left the area at about 0445...
