I have a couple of questions. At the moment I have been looking at Physiology &Patient Assessment Exam Techniques.
The four are Inspection, Palpation, Percussion, Auscultation according to Mosbys.
In regards to Auscultation, listening for Abnormal Sounds, respiratory sounds for example
Ronchi, Wheeze, Bronchial, Rub, Crackles, Branchavesicular, Vesicular.
Do you know of a website or resource that I can listen to do gain a idea of what these respiratory sound like.NYERRN
Also I'm looking at basic medications as well, Indications & Contraindications. If anyone knows a very good book or website on drug dosage calculations and drip rates would be helpful.![]()
I would like to try and familiarizes my self with the basic medications new officers would be expected to administer.
What do beginner Ambulance Officers train to administer when they first start out in the paid service.![]()

i dont know any paramedics that have a registration card like an RN doesMarkmywords wrote:State registered ? Is that true ? just wondering because there is no ambulance act in W.A so they wouldnt need to be registered maybe health department approved for work when they do it.
I didnt think that the Health department would allow first aid attendants to look after intubated patients.
ALS course issues a registration card and qualifies u to work overseas anywhere in europe and is recognised by the australian resus council and english resusMarkmywords wrote:When they had the RFDS contract then yer definatley wouldve been a confirmed Health Department Supplier.
