They have that here too, it funds new fire/ambulance stations, equipment and vehicles
ESL covers Fire/ses/sea rescue , none goes to St johns

From what I can gather, rescue10 does not answer these types of questions.

ESL in WA doesn't cover Sea Rescue. Funds come from a different source. the was too much backlash from the non boaties. Fesa however does distrubute

I have answered that in a earlier post.
The Confederation Of Australian Motor Sports determines what grade you get and it depends on your qualifiercations and motor sports experince.

A Gold frie rescue marshal or Paramedic must be able to run the event as a cheif fireie or ambo.

The rules have changed ambos now dont need to be licenced.so private trained paramedics such as sja trained industrial paramedics cant get in as they have to be with a state registard paramedic.

A St johns paid paramedic could join the team but if not held a cams officials licence he would be classed as a trainnee and start as a trainiee even if he had been a paramedic for 10yrs.He then would have to do special cams training to understand motorsports then do event assesments to be upgraded to gold.

This is much the same as mine paramedics as they have to do mine induction and training courses.

I wont say what i do at Barbagallo but lets say I dont do fire or ambo any more to busy with other stuff.

Last year I attended the bikes as a paramedic.Ive done training with Care Flight,SJA NT,WA Amb ser,fesa,state emergency service,RED CROSS,alcoa,western mining,joondalup health campus,WA Operations Branch,rfds,southern peninsula rescue,para med,western mining.St johns Vollie

Fire training with the CDC MOTOR SPORTS,FESA.WAFB,Paramedical, mines RAAF,navy, nswfb

That's quite an impressive list of locations of training. I suppose when you've been involved with things like motorsports you do need to know a fair bit and all that probably would have helped at different times.

interesting to know. so basically your an IP- as alcoa and western mining have docs and nurses, so perhaps you did the security gate. careflight is voluntary equivalent to patient transfer, joondalup hospital wouldnot pay for the insurances required to give you a placement unless done so by sja or charles stuart. And in saying you were a vollie for st john you have answered any question i had. RFDS would not accept a vollie to work with them. and there is to date no regulating body in wa for paramedics, let alone a state register ( which will change ) sorry no issue with vollies , just cowboys

I did training with RFDS and Joondalup Heath Campus-Did not vollie dont know were you got that from.

Western Mining have had a name change and use paramedics like the kal nickle smelter.

Motor Sports paramedics must work with a state registared service like st johns or Advanced Life as they are state registard services-Health Department registared.

There are also specilist motor sports services like Race Safe and Motor Sports Safety Rescue
