I'm not sure, It looked like heavy rescue. But I'm not up on all the new fesa vehicles. It was brand spanking new and not fully marked.

Videos r good, how come no air horn ?

P.S should take a dig cam and use the video part of it.

P.S.S i know one of you guys can answer my question doesnt have to be in full detail but just curious, Does FESA/BFS bill anyone for turning out to an incident im assuming turning out to traffic accidents is covered by third party insurance on your license, im assuming a structure fire would be covered by your building insurance, what about false fire alarms etc in a building etc or if you called FESA to come to your house which wasnt deemed a fire emergency like ie: ur doing burnoff's etc n some nosey neighbour calls and says your house is on fire ?

Just curious thats all.

Volunteer FRS in general are not allowed to fit airhorns to there appliances. Although there is always the one or two brigades that get away with it

weve had airhorns for yonks just havent fitted em!
yer kwinana frs have airhorns and have had em for a long while

whats 2mp ?.

We just cant add them as it has to be something that fesa fits to the appliances and have refused on ours.

although unlike u guys we do all our work in house we dont call for a techy!

gpa/hsr isnt too bad. Suits us. The horn is crappy though. Would have more effect if you ripped it out and threw it at people. Be interesting to see wether the new one has air horns. Would be interested to hear from any brigades with one.

We would do some work but even the techie has to change blown fuses.

Always found it interesting that the FRS appliances for the most part, all have air horns (Country Pumps etc), yet they wont allow air horns on BFS appliances.. although of course, when in shire hands they can do whatever they want with them (probably much to FESA's disgust).

Also notice that most FRS appliances (bar light tankers) have dual siren speakers on the front too.. the white ones only have 1.

Lord only knows how they figure that all out !

2nd alarm scrub fire just been called in rockingham. Cnr Patterson rd and office rd ( the usual area ). Rockingham career and vollies turned out. Not sure who else but assume Hope Valley will go as well.

Has anyone on forum been at the Star Swamp fire in North Beach? It has been burning since last night. Radio said up to 20 units at scene. We have a crew up there but no word yet.
Star Swamp goes up like this every season.

Authorities are already calling it arson.
