rescue10 I see you stated that you are a silver card paramedic. What qualifications do you need to obtain one of these and who accredits this?

Most standards to a degree are the same or similar. Some things have to vary as different regions have different problems.Kyle wrote:laugh so true.Herpes wrote:Just WA is does stand for WAIT AWHILEKyle wrote: Herpes are the regulations very hazy in other states. Or is it just in WA
I find that with the Qualifications down here as well.
If only there was a standard. For example.
What qualification you must obtain, the clinical practice hours you must have, the assements you must past etc.
It would be great if for example they had a standard across the board of the equipment and medications the Ambulance must carry. The level the Paramedics, AO must be at to operate. The driving regulations the same.
So if one Paramedic was compared to another in a different service they would all be at the same level..
It will stop confusion and streamline and hopefully help in endorsing a standard practice across the state.
That way if one Ambulance office from SJA had to assist in other competing Ambulance Service everything would be the same.
using a hot key is better, direct contact with triage nurse and or ED doctorKyle wrote:You know what be really great. A new digital system on board the Ambulance that sent vitals and patient details to the receiving hospital before the patient arrives. I seen it used in States. Does anyone know if we have a system like this in WA. I keep hearing the word sigma system being said however don't know what that is.
