And fair tactics are smashing a 5 foot block of wood over the back of a lady..
There are groups of these guys that go out looking for trouble..
Trying to getting a name for themselves knocking out older guys/men.
And Froggles is the statement ," i heard on the news that when asked for a cigarette the victim of the initial assault shoved the person away, and then was attacked. " out of the person on bails version??

Yes there are some people not just aboriginals who ask for a cigarette with the intent of mugging you but from what I have seen and heard this happens very rarley. We have only heard part of the story yes the fight may have started over asking for a cigarette but what we dont know is how the person responded back to the person who asked. That does not make any excuse for the people involved but I know if I wasked for something and spoken to like shit by the person I had asked I would possibly be pissed of at that person for speaking to me rudely and possily end up in a fight.
Time, Place, Circumstance. What I am saying is that at two in the morning when a group approach you and ask for a cigarette you have to worry about what comes next. Many people who have been mugged or bashed have said that this is how it started out.
A mother was telling me the other day how her daughter was set upon by a group of youths in Northbridge early one morning when she was alone waiting to be picked up. It started by one of them asking for a smoke, then another one came in and broke her nose, grabbed her handbag and they all ran off.
Point is that I was not trying to say that all of them are going to mug you, I have been asked and nothing happened but if it is late at nite and there is a few of them then be prepared for what may happen. Thankfully it does not happen too often.
