If you can get photo's of WAPOL, SJA and FESA in China or England

... you could do aviation though and Public transport however let's try and keep it WA based...unless you live over east

So are you saying photos of Military police, fire and ambulances, Federal police, aviation fire fighting, AMS, ALAS, and other ambulances, Customs and shire rangers cannot be submitted as there is no category for them to be judged in?
Why don't you make the categories
- State, Federal and International Law enforcement agencies (Interpol and visiting forces)
- Fire fighting
- Rescue
- Ambulances
- Aviation
- PTA
- Other Military
- Fauna and flora (I'm voting for robbage's Swanbourne Special Services Snake)
- Other Local, state and federal agencies (Customs, Rangers, DEC pollution, Mermaids etc)
- Associated Marching and Pipe Bands
with the stipulation that they must have been taken in WA. I think it would be good to break SES from FESA so there can be a winning fire engine and a winning SES shot. I know this will amount to more cost for trophies, medals and presentation ceremonies.

Considering I've only received one photo submission so far let just keep the 2008 competition to what is listed currently.
Depending on the success of this year's competition I'm more than happy to run another one next year. Then we can maybe look at including the Feds, Military (bearing in mind that it was army equipment that was removed and replaced by a photo of a member of the tactical snake platoon), and anything else we come up with...so I suppose small steps at a time for now.

No Tooty, it would be considered too hard at the present time. We just wish to run with it first to see if there is a sucess then we will sit down too see if its something we can do later

I posted a couple pics of an army ambo. I would have won that category by default. You saw the snake? Sorry, that was .... classified. There will a knock at the door in a moment. Run while you can.

It was only an army ambo...but like I saw one of them driving down the road going to relay for life once, just like I saw a couple of flat bed trucks from 13 CSSB driving around Midland. Unfortunately not quick enough for a pic.
The nice men in black suits with big black trucks that rocked up??...I gave them my cousin, I hope they don't mind.

Ok have just had a quick sneak peak to see how we're doing.
It appears this year is going to be a quiet competition with only a very few entries.
Remember if you have photo's that you would like included, please email them ASAP to
warsugphotocomp@gmail.com if they haven't come through this email address then I won't include them.
Thanks,

Yeah sorry. If systems are back up at work I will try putting them up. Otherwise will have set a reminder.

I keep remembering when I'm away from a computer. Or like now when I'm about to head for bed!

note made

Is it really worth it?

Well, so far there are 4 photo's. 2 in aviation, 1 in SJA, 1 in FESA.
My suggestion is that the 2008 one is closed. We can then give people a whole year to take the "perfect" photo which can be uploaded during the year as well, and then at the start of December we can try again. Unless the consensus stands, we don't want it? I leave it to you as the members of the board to decide.

I like the idea of closing this years and run it from now until december.

Well you need to get a consensus from the people who entered. I would be angry if I entered and all of a sudden it was postponed for a year.
