Oh thats odd - when I opened the thread just after written_ficton created it it wasn't on there. A couple of minutes later when I looked at it again it was up there. Strange.

I would say it just didn't load fast enough and without an image placeholder in most browsers you wouldn't have know there was a picture waiting to load.
