BASE jumping 'could happen every night'
A world champion BASE jumper says people could be leaping off Sydney's tallest buildings every night, and has argued for a legal way to practice his extreme sport in Australia.
The plea comes after two BASE jumpers were charged with parachuting from a city tower building at 3 this morning.
Police officers spotted one man floating to earth before he landed in front of their car on George St. Sydney.
The other man landed on the other side of the road, near the corner of Liverpool St, before the pair were chased down and arrested, police said.

Missing boy's body found in mineshaft,
The search for missing Perth toddler Imran Zilic has ended with the discovery of a child's body in a seven-metre deep mine shaft in South Australia.
Police said a young child's body was found by Coober Pedy police in the one-metre wide shaft about 47 kilometres south of the opal mining town.

Kudos to the searchers. I lived in Coober Pedy on and off as a teen. There are mine-shafts everywhere. We could walk to several deep uncovered shafts in minutes from our dugout.

A four-year-old boy suffered serious head injuries after being run over by a four-wheel drive at a shopping centre in Gladstone in central Queensland.
Police say the boy and his mother were in an underground car park at Stocklands Shopping centre, in Kin Kora, about 3.10pm (AEST).

Ten News said a 38 yr old woman was bashed by several females on Friday night at Perth Train Station, went to emegency and sent home, Passed away next day, police seized security tapes.

THOUSANDS of commuters were stuck in gridlock after a shot was fired from stolen car during a police pursuit in Sydney's innerwest.
Two men are in custody and a third is on the run after the chase began in the Redfern-Waterloo area just after 5pm (AEST).
Officers spotted a stolen car wanted in connection with a string of robberies, police said.
The pursuit of the Toyota four-wheel drive carrying three men followed several suburban streets through to the city's inner west.
One of the men fired a shot at a police car but no one was injured.
Police then chased the vehicle down Parramatta Road to North Strathfield, near the entrance to the M4 Motorway, where the car pursuit ended and the three men fled on foot.
Officers on the ground, assisted by a PolAir helicopter, located two of the men and arrested them
