I didn't get too far - for some reason on 10 and 6 metres my tracker generates undecodable packets while the engine is running...robbage wrote:How'd it go?vk6hgr wrote:I'm doing some experimenting with 6m APRS this weekend. 53.025MHz if anyone wants to have a go.
That's odd. I guess that also means it worked ok with the engine off. Is that a tiny tracker and what TX was it connected to? The engine noise might be getting onto the audio as it enters the TX. Might need a suppressor on the radio. Did you have an opportunity to listen to the audio on a receiver? (or someone else listen)vk6hgr wrote:I didn't get too far - for some reason on 10 and 6 metres my tracker generates undecodable packets while the engine is running...robbage wrote:How'd it go?vk6hgr wrote:I'm doing some experimenting with 6m APRS this weekend. 53.025MHz if anyone wants to have a go.

Well that puts my earlier image to shame that showed only 187km/hrVK6ZMS wrote:A satellite has shown up on APRS.fi[/img]

Nope - they were fined for littering by the Esperance Shire Council and paid the $20? fine.Zebedee wrote:Wouldn't be the first time they got a fine and ignored it (Skylab anyone?)
According to "Scientific American", the fine was for $400 - whether that was accounting for 30 years of inflation or not I dunnoWPXZBP wrote:Nope - they were fined for littering by the Esperance Shire Council and paid the $20? fine.Zebedee wrote:Wouldn't be the first time they got a fine and ignored it (Skylab anyone?)
