Today at Warwick poilce station I herd NX 900 advise VKI if NJ 106 could proceed to Wanneroo Rd in Carramar P2 conditions.
I'm just wondering is NX 900 Wanneroo Base as I thought it would be NX 010 ?

Re: Call sign NX 900 ?
900's are tadis lite units... They weren't designed to be used as an actual callsign... But there is some confusion out there at times... Callsigns are based on what the master radio identification number is... ie NX102 is the radio ID number in the vehicle, GC814 is the radio ID number on the portable; as their is no vehicle, the portable becomes their primary radio number...
Re: Call sign NX 900 ?
The Radio ID comes up on enabled radios ie VKI, Radio support base.... im not sure about the mobiles or portables.
its basicly the number of the letter in the alphabet, followed by the number of the unit.
NX101=1424101
GC801=0703801
I believe the TADIS lite units are assigned a portable. kinda like how they assign 2 portable radios to each vehicle.

Yep, the radio ID comes up on all portables and mobile units so you can see who is talking.
