Re: Subiaco Station closing
My guess is when O'Callaghan is replaced, the next Commissioner will reopen a heap of small stations and return the major stations to 24 hours

Re: Subiaco Station closing
I am a little worried about that post as well. I've got a friend in one of those Police Stations and he has heard nothing like that.auntys_eyes wrote:Where did you get this information from?HL 101 wrote:Bayswater & Striling Police Station will be closing so West Metro will only have Morley,Scarbrough,Mirrabooka & Morley Detectives will be operating out of Mirrabooka
Not saying that your statement isn't true as most of the time the Officers don't get told of the facts
I've closed the door!

With "rumours" such as these - I think that it's important to include a source.. i.e a public accessible link such as the news etc that can vouch for it. Rumours and here-say can get people off side if it's not substantiated.

Re: Subiaco Station closing
There's no rumours. It's called hubbing.
See HERE
It's not an overnight project but will happen.

Great article there Walks, thanks for posting. Not something i would have thought was logical (ie closing stations makes for better policing), but having read the article it does seem to make sense. Let's face it many other businesses have been using the 'hubbing' model for years now.

My recollection is that Kalamunda has been closed for some time and their resources were moved to and combined with Forrestfield.HL 101 wrote:Kalamunda Police Station is that still operating or has that closed ?
