Qld Police - Crewman

Post by auntys_eyes »

I spotted this car at a traffic stop and (when they finished) asked the officers what they thought of the Holden Crewman as a police vehicle, considering that WAPol were trialing a similar vehicle (WT901). The 2 officers i spoke to hated it and said that the few Crewmans that Qld Police have are not very popular. They seemed to think that once the Crewmans reached their changeover date they would be replaced with other makes/models.

Jeez they stuck enough lights on it!

Wasn't the Crewman discontinued anyway?

The front lights are lower than the roof of the thing on the back. You'd think one set near the front of the thing on the back would have done

To increase visibility as you cant see the front light bar from behind very well.

i think take the nudge bar off and keep the regular bumper on, maybe some R/B led's in the grill and it would look nice.
Drop a 5L in it and it will catch those hoons too, duel use vehicle.

its not a nudge bar. think you'll find it's an airbag-compatible 'factory' bullbar.

Yes, its a slimline LED lightbar hence why its half the height of the normal front one with incandescent rotators.

Nice pics, was it taken in WA or QLD?

Every 24hr station has them in Vic, when they were first introduced a guy kicked his way out of the roof whilst in custody.
