With all the stuff we radio nerds have in our car, that's the best they could do??? Bizarre ...

Weird, but perhaps it was protecting anything else you had in your car

I bet the cops would have had a chuckle though, and your insurance company if they're going to sort it out for you.

on the note of luck. i went to donate blood on thursday night at carousel shops and on returning to my car, realised my front drivers window was fully down with GPS, radar detector, deck blaster and radio equipment all in line of sight / access. nothing was taken! someone was watching over me that night.

they are used on company land so we remain highly visible. we never use them on public roads unless in emergency situations (ie assisting at a MVA if needed). they are normally only mounted on our windscreens when in use, however I forgot to take mine off after work on that day. they are all amber and cannot be confused with emergency services when switched on.
as to why we use deck blasters V beacons? i couldn't tell you. i do know that magnetic based beacons do damage the paint work on cars and as our cars are all leased, maybe it was a condition?
