uniden 92XLT? Can i pick up 6DS frequencies?

Post by cjalltheway »

Hello All,
I am new to this forum.

I recently bought two Uniden UH065SX hand-held radio receivers. However they are not able to pick up any of the emergency services. It was one of the reasons why I bought it (among other reasons).

Am i able to pick up Emergency SERVICE radio frequencies with the uniden 92XLT?

Any help would be much appreciated!

Many Thanks

Yes the 92XLT can pickup 6DS but all they say is the suburb the vehicle belongs too and P1/2/3 and they reply with their selcall or a roger. They never say on air where they are going.

The Fire service channels can be a little more interesting listening if you are into that. A 92xlt will also do this for you. If you go ahead and get one let us know and we can help you out with frequencies etc.

CJ,

Keep in mind that 6DS have plans to go digital in the not too distant future, so your 92 XLT might not be able to receive them.

^ The 412.xxx and above in that document is what you want (except the ones in italic or underlined). Try each and scan them till you find the 'best' ones for your area.

It's easy to use this site to check where the repeater is actually located: http://web.acma.gov.au/pls/radcom/assig ... nge_search

Go to the appropriate sub forum here for other frequencies :)

CJ

for you're location try 164.000 MHZ for fesa that will give you 6IP to monitor.

You will probably have to change the antenna on the scanner though i have a 93XLT and had to do this to scan 6IP.
