Hi all,

Just wondering if we can have a sticky thread dedicated to only the Helitak choppers.
There are some people in the group that have a great interested in these movements.

Good idea i have the heliattacks programmed into my scanner and when they are out it is very bussy and interesting to listen too.

Can to post the frequencies?
I only have 129.00mhz as their airband channel.

Iv got 78.3250Mhz and 80.825Mhz high and low band. when they are operational i get alot of transmision through these freq of all helliattacks and fixed wing bombers

At the moment they're still on the VHF mid band frequencies. Predominantly channel 23 although I have heard they were on 16 recently when two were at one incident and two at another.

yeh thats what i think the freq i have is ch 23 because i can hear them letting 6IP know there changing from ch 25 to 23 once @ fire ground then i can still here them talking 2 one another and ground controll on these freq i have programed in.

was watching them work the other day at lesmurdie falls, was awesome watching them swoop through the valley sirens blaring doing there work. Fire king whilst impressive didnt seem to have the same flair i thought either way good to watch

Currently tracking: Firebird 767, 611, 610 and 668 above a fire down south east of Jandakot Airport.

heliatak 670 and 671 ask to depart brookdale fire and head north to a bush fire in wattle grove welshpool is there and want air attacks, 2.4 (Malaga has been sent i think) and lts

767 just flew over Armadale heading towards I'm assuming the Wattle Grove fire
