It could be the new statewide emergency UHF simplex channel that's common to the three main emergency services. I think it's at around 458Mhz. The exact freq is on the FESA site somewheredoogues71 wrote:the only emergency channel on the police that I know of is ch 23(Freo area) or ch26(Perth area)Never heard of channel A.

Re: Emergency channel A
All emergency services (Police, Ambos, FESA) have those two channels on their radios.hanksta wrote:Yea it was the police not FRS using it

Re: Emergency channel A
To be more correct, only Fire & Rescue Service and SES as far as FESA is concerned. And even then, I'm not sure what the deal is with FRS UHF radios in vollie brigades ?vk6hgr wrote:All emergency services (Police, Ambos, FESA) have those two channels on their radios.hanksta wrote:Yea it was the police not FRS using it
Emergency Channels A&B
These channels can be used by the FRS and SES. They are simplex channels.
