Im with Melville SES, not an aerial observer though, I dont have a strong stomach when it comes to small planes.

I did the course years ago when the Perth SES unit was still active and not a skate park.
Never got to do a search as an AO but the training was spot on. I do remember one of the instructors getting pretty crook in the aircraft.

If you're sick on the flight you lose your qualification and are disqualified from doing it again due to the cost involved.
