Fog

Post by jasonjag »

by the look of the density of the fog outside, I would believe that Perth Airport would be closed for landings. 2235

no, are you "Night_Ryder ???", I had cast my post view from the density around our streets etc at that time, and remember I did not say that it would be, or had been, and as I worked for qantas for 12 years and we often sat doing nothing on shift when fog came in, overseas B707 were diverted to Learmont or meekatharra and B747 to learmont, B727 planes from east went to kalgoolie.

^hehee

I worked at a radio station in Meekatharra about 12 yrs ago, my April fools prank on morning radio was "a qantas plane has had to land here in Meekatharra due to fog at Perth and due to excess fuel the first 50 people out to the airport will get a free 30 minute flight around Meekatharra"

As the airport is a little out of town we had a few people drive out for a look

Jasonjag, I wasnt taking a dig. I was asking whether you had any experience with aviation. Sorry if it came off that way. I probaly should have worded it better.

As for your response to my question. Yes, I am. I have been flying with Qantas for 1.5 years now as a first officer on the A330.
