Got a page today, they are very desperate, perhaps if they had it moving to other locations more people would go to it. I am not driving a hour to go do the study for 2 hours then come home again.

And they would turn around and say "When you do something about your fitness we will assist you" I think they call this a two way street. You can not expect FESA or anyone else to assist personnel with fitness when they will not help themselves.

Rest assuered the time will come when all vollies will be required to pass some sort of fitnes test due to duty of care.

Once this happens you can be sure all the fat lazy people will be bleating about how hard done by they are.

Rambler its not just about doing something your self i no of one volunteer station who had there own gym gear and was told to get rid of it as they were not covered for workers comp because it was not issued by FESA when they asked fESA to supply it they were told no as there was need for it . so i think there is more to it than just getting off there lazy asses. and i think you need to be carefull about stereo typing fat people i have at least three members in our station who are classed as fat but i would rather them with me when the stuff hits the fan as i no they are more reliable and and they give a lot more than a cpl of the so called normal <Skinny> people.

All im saying is there is more to the story

UWA fitness study may have some benifits, though it's also helping someone else get their Masters or Doctorate.
I'm sure there is plent of other studies and evidence that has been already done. :o
When people are told to remove fitness (or any other equipment) from their station My question would be is it FESA policy and please show me what regulation it's cover under. 8)
Too many DMs, Directors etc have big opinions and egos. Though they really get their knickers in a twist when you go over their heads. FESA vols have the right to go to the CEO (who's useless and will pass the buck), or better still the Minister..
