Back when I was naive enough to think that you needed a CAMS 'paramedic' license to do events at the track, the grading system was mainly based on what you wrote on the application form, so the better you were at selling yourself on the form the higher your rating....donks wrote:nice one. Do CAMS run special courses or something like that?rescue10 wrote:prob have seen ya.besides my photography I hold a Gold CAMS Fire Rescue Licence and a Silver CAMS Paramedic Licence
It is a requirement from CAMS that all Paramedics/Officials are licenced to cover them for insurance.
No its never been how you can sell your self. You have had to supply letters of refrence and copies of certificates of Qualification ie I have to provide a Letter from the CEO of St Johns and provide my NSW Air Wing training Course Certificate and my certificate from Care Flight.
Any way you were only from St Jonhs Wanneroos First Aid service and non of their members applied for the licence hence St.Johns got the boot

I don't mean to be a stick in the mud... BUT this topic is about first jobs.... not about qualifications? It's just I keep looking at this topic hoping to see some more shared stories, but am only getting discussion on who/where/what to get the title, etc. Or am I missing something?
