Fire Roland x Todayay, West Gidge and Midland turning out.
Stoneville turning out to wildberry way.
Mundaring having problems contacting helitacks.
All go in the hills today, and Parkerville is right in the middle of them all.

Just for clarification... Mundaring Wier Road Control having problems with ch 23. (Kalamunda BFB)

One fire may be in John Forrest National Park.

East Gidge 7.2 and 1.4 going to Roland Road fire.

Edit - East and West Gidge stood down as the fire is at Stoneville.

Helitacks left the Kalamunda incident a few minutes back.

One of the helitacks (671) is taking a look at Stoneville fire. I am doing a patrol of the Stoneville-Parkerville fire tonight at 6pm

Can someone please briefly explain what the meaning of the numbers for fire appliances are... such as 7.2 1.4 3.2 and so on?? is it to do with the capacity it can hold???

as always thanks guys!

Correct. The first figure is capacity and the second is drive system

therefore 7.2 is 7000lts and 2wd
1.4 is 1000ltrs and 4wd and so on

Donks, spot on mate.
Basically the first digit is the capacity *1000, the second number is what wheel drive it is. So a 7.2 is 7000L tanker with 2 wheel drive, and 4.4 is 4000L Tanker with 4 wheel drive capabilities. A light tanker holds between 500 to 800 Litres. I believe any appliance over 4000L is a 2 wheel drive, all other appliances are 4 wheel drive, don't know about FRS pumps though.
