I didnt catch any callsigns but this afternoon I heard an officer ask the midland channel operator if he could book on with him as "channel 21 has been closed". Sadly thats all I heard but that is definitely what was said.

Hi HEKTIK,

The amount of unencrypted channels or talk groups as its called now, is so limited its not worth spending $900.

Police encrypted transmissions

Post by RAMBO »

There are powerful digital scanners available for several $k, there is no scanner available in the world that will un-encrypt the WAPolice transmissions encryption code, once they cure the hiccups, but you will not crack the encryption, that is the issue,..told from a realiable source.

Well if there are any smart (alex) out there, then get busy on cracking the Encrytion code as Ch21 has gone total didigital, A Sgnt told me today you will only hear outside cars calling Ch21, that are not yet converted.
