No not a BFB thing. I think its more a down south problem. Even had a career pump turned out from 3 stns away for ba support with us vollies not even getting a shout to a sesond alarm in our own area.
as soon as thew loader come from the gosnells shire the kwnwick was manage to be obtain under control maybe they should have thought of the loader sooner ma have helped save some energy
The fire was under control well before the loader arrived. I know I had to baby sit it for 2 hours while it cleaned up the fire breaks. It was stopped thanks to the hard work of the frs and the gosnells bfs. It was a simple fact the the indians did what needed to be done while the chiefs sat around trying to figure out who was in charge.
my father was tthe one driving the loader he didnt get in till 1130 fire start early if the used they brains and called it in soon u guy would have gone home sooner
To 3rd light tanker is given to several of the co-located brigades for the summer time only. It is normally a vehicle that is about to be scrapped so its given a last hurray.
The original idea was for the career to staff the vehicle if they had extra crew. Rocky is one of those stations where each shift has an extra S.O and two crew that are relievers. They tend to never be there though.
However as the lt is about to be scrapped it doesnt come with a charger for the portable radio or a crew plug so the union has banned them using this. Therefore us vollies get the use of it. Can be handy in the summer as less poeple miss the two usual appliances.
