Does anyone happen to have the repeater offsets so I can hear what trucks are near me when I'm out and about. I understand if it's not public though.

You can find these in the ACMA database.

Repeater offsets are -4.6mhz for VHF HI frequencies and +2.5mhz for VHF LO frequencies.

The frequency is for Surf Lifesaving WA, not WAERN and looking at the emission type is probably DMR.

DFES have introduced codified callsigns for some operational staff in the Southwest and Metro North East regions. I'm not sure if I'm allowed to disclose who has which callsign though unfortunately.

I am having a devil of a time picking up the chatter that would be occurring on the FESA frequencies in Busselton / Dunsborough at the moment. I have programmed my Uniden scanner based on the radioreference.com advice, but am not hearing much at all. I have manually programmed the Busselton airport and hear that.

I am a total n00b, at this ( ), but am not sure if I have done something incorrect. Does each channel need a location perhaps? At the moment I have imported the list from RR to system > department > channel / frequency.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

What are the actual frequencies you've programmed in?

Have you checked activity on the frequencies in our list:

And do you mind linking to the radio reference place you got the info from? The scanner won't need to know location, just frequency.

Thanks for the help, and these are the frequencies I have inputted / imported: https://www.radioreference.com/apps/db/?aid=8858

Obviously have done it incorrectly so will try from the details you have kindly provided. I will use the 'conventional' system, and see what I pick up. Hopefully can get it working all ok...

On the html file, what do RX and CTCSS stand for; I assumed one may be frequency? [Sorry for the ignorant question]

RX is received frequency. CTCSS, if your scanner supports it, is a way to help block noisy, invalid signals from opening up the squelch. Especially important on mid-band VHF.

Thanks again! I will try to manually enter these frequences in and see f I can pick anything up.

I have seen the term WAERN used a bit, what does this mean?

WA Emergency Radio Network.

Basically, the name for the project FESA/DFES used when they moved to newer radios and from only using VHF mid-band frequencies to mostly VHF high band and a lot more UHF simplex channels.
