Is it exact to express that anyone is else experiencing an issue with the online feed? Have not heard anything on my radio application for the term of the day yet the scanner has been amazingly incredible.

The 6AR / command channel I use has some sort of fault that is only relaying one side of conversations. I've changed it to a 6IP for now, but might have a noisier signal.

I heard a radio tech doing some test calls in the last hour so hopefully being fixed.
"VKI, NJ050 will you be attending the job?"
"Negative VKI, my desk is bolted to the floor".

Alpha tags on DFES audio stream

Post by vk6hgr »

Hi Folks.

I have been working on a little project here and have now enabled "alpha tags" on the DFES stream. Since there are 4 radios connected to it, it can be hard to work out what's being said. To help, and if your streaming app supports it, the stream will now show the current VHF high and midband radio channel number along with the audio.

For now, it's only enabled on this stream server that I run. I'm working on enabling it for the Broadcastify server that all the streaming apps use. For now click this link or set up as a manual/custom stream URL in your streaming app:

The self-hosted stream endpoint seems to be down, VLC throws this error at me

Thanks. Yep, my virtual server host has been suffering network issues today. I've lodged support tickets, now just have to wait for them to fix it.

Use http://stream.warsug.info:8000
That way I can change DNS records as required to point to a working server.
