What suburb/area are you in, and are you up high or down in a hollow?

I don't live high or in a hollow. Is there a stronger antenna i can get for it. It is BNC connection.

I did hear Daglish say two words to 6AR this morning but that's it. So not sure if I am too far away from the repeater or whatever. I was tuned into Two Rocks but live in Yanchep so am thinking might need stronger antenna but have no idea which one will work.

If you are inside then that can sometimes be a problem especially if you have a tin roof.

I have tried outside and in the car though :( and also when I heard Daglish speaking to 6AR I never heard 6AR acknowledge it so I have no idea why it only works very sparingly.

For some reason I can't get reception inside the house (which is where I was trying to get it to work so that was the problem) but can outside the front door which leads me to my next question, what stronger antenna can I get for it because I can only get reception at this one spot outside my house and have to point the antenna to Two Rocks otherwise won't work whereas when I went to Two Rocks I could point it wherever I wanted.

A small mag base antenna of the net will probably do, however I can't help but recommend the Diamond X series antennas. I've got two of these and they work a treat. Obviously will be a big improvement but will also be a great base station antenna for 2m/70cm if you want to go do your foundation or standard licence.. :)

164.6125 is in Wanneroo, I know it's further away from Yanchep than the Two Rocks Chanel, however its up high, it's the only one we can use in Bells Rapids or Avon Ridge, despite there being one on Red Hill.

Just wondering how/if you can listen to fire services down south and up north's version of 6AR as when there is fires down south like Busselton etc. you never hear about it on 6AR same as up north.

Thanks :D

How far north/south? Just a couple more examples, as some areas that far out are not covered by local 6AR radio.
