Does anyone have a good portable scanner with airband
Does anyone have a good portable scanner with airband
I'm after a good quality second hand scanner with airband. Something with a rechargeable battery would also be good.

Most scanners on the market nowadays should be able to pick up the VHF air band frequencies (generally from 108 - 137 MHz).
Take a look at the specs for whatever scanner you're looking to buy and see if it covers this range. If it does, you're in luck!

Thanks Doug, I realise that. I'm hoping someone here will have a spare bearcat sitting around that they want to sell.

Ah well, in that case I've moved the topic to the "For Sale" section so people might notice it if they have something they want to dispose of.
If you can't get one second-hand, at least a basic handheld scanner isn't too expensive nowadays to buy new.
