Doug the only trouble i have with radios is reading the manuals and its been about 8 months since i bought an Icom-R9500 receiver and havent even looked the manual.

Yeah - the Icom manual is quite well written, it's just that it approaches things in a completely different manner to the Yaesu, which is what I'm used to :P

I have been buying Icom for over 25 years and i find its easy to use a radio hands on instead of reading the manual.
