Hi all.

Crazy, but im chasing a glass mount 2 meter band antenna, dual 70cm/2m would be ideal.

Just wondering if anyone in perth sells them?

You can buy a commercial VHF one and it cut to length but I wouldn't bother.
We went from coverage almost to Rockingham to lucky to get past South
Perth after changing to glass mount antennas at work.

That's the feedback I've heard as well. You might be better off with one of those through-window antennae which rest on the top of the door window and wind up into the window recess with the antenna hanging off the side. I can't recall who sell them though. A HARG member has one (VK6XZ I think)

I have one floating around somewhere but it was a pain to install and didn't give me much gain over a ΒΌ wave.

In my experience, glassmount antennas are just about useless. They're hard to tune and are rather expensive.

A 1/4 wave vertical whip on the front guard works far better and on most cars can be installed without drilling any holes.
