Lighthouse and Lightship Weekend 2010

Yesterday I visited Wally VK6YS and Shaun VK6FSAP at Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse. They were operating as part of the LLW.

Station was a TS2000, AH-811 amp and vertical dipole for 20m and a IC751 (I think it was) and 40/80 dipoles.

A pleasant trip and enjoyable time there.

The 9 meter squid pole antenna worked very well down near the ocean. It had an SCG auto tuner at the base and radials , one radial was in the sea.
What are radials I hear you ask ? more here :
